I was working all week with another lady. We get along perfectly and work together just great. We were organizing and re-organizing all week. We were finding items for people and putting them back later when they returned them. We replenished items that were empty or low along with rearranging many items that were too hard to get to.
Quite a few times like early morning and one day when the other gal worked just in the afternoon I found myself all alone and quite content. I was reflecting on how very content I was doing what I was doing and being alone. I was very grateful for the job I had and was able to perform. Not only is it a great match for me due to having MS, but also my temperament.
I watched many others through the week fit the role they were in also. The music director is very Sanguine and I recognized this because of her exuberance and animated manner. Her high energy matched the kids' energy and she held their attention with her loud voice, wonderful smile and demonstrative enthusiasm.
The head of the baby nursery was soft spoken, sweet and very kind. Another match!
The three main leaders, two men and one woman were all above and beyond leadership quality and very humble. They love the Lord above all and it showed!
My husband worked security for the little kids and he had the best week. Now remember, we don't have any kids (by choice), as neither of us are really very much "kid people" or so we always thought. But this week showed me that as true as we thought that may be, God used a ten year old girl to soften my husband's heart. I always thought my husband was an introvert, but I am becoming more and more convinced that he is an extrovert, just more on the spectrum towards the middle and not an extreme extrovert. Seeing how charged he got from the kids and just people in general says a lot. Extroverts need people to feel recharged, whereas introverts need alone time to recharge. The more he was interacting with people and kids the happier he was. He told me again that kids and especially babies make him laugh. He works with me in the room I mentioned above on Sunday every week and he likes it, but the part he likes the best is the part that involves people, like getting items for them, sharing his testimony with them, helping them with various needs they have, etc. Contrast that with me who likes it the most when no one else is in the room and I am organizing stuff or updating the inventory in the computer.
It was a great week and I am watching my husband now - the week recharged him. The week drained me so now I will recharge when Monday comes and I have access to some alone time.
